Dr. Anikar Chhabra & Dr. Evan Lederman
Congratulations and a job well done to Dr. Lederman and Dr. Chhabra on their presentation this past week in New Orleans at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS)! They presented along with Dr. Nuget, Dr. Cunningham, Dr. McLemore and Dr. McLaren. The presentation was “Ulnar Collateral Ligament Reconstruction: A Cadaveric Biomechanical Study of Two Popular Repair Techniques”.
Dr. Grant Padley
Dr. Padley was a guest on the Bunker to Bunker radio program (AZ Sports 620 KTAR). We invite you to take a few minutes and listen to his interview. Dr. Padley shared information on common golf related injuries and prevention of these injuries through a stretching program. He also answered questions related to various sports injuries and his role as a team physician for the Cincinnati Red's major league spring training and minor league baseball throughout the year.
Congratulations to Dr. Kostas Economopoulos on his article publication in the January 2014 issue of The American Journal of Sports Medicine! The article is titled: The Ligamentum Teres Test: A Novel and Effective Test in Diagnosing Tears of the Ligamentum Teres. He co-authored this article with his mentor John O'Donnell while doing his fellowship in Australia. The article describes a new test to identify tears of the ligamentum of teres, one of the important ligaments of the hip. Injuries to this ligament can lead to chronic pain that is not always picked up by MRI. The test makes identifying this injury easier.
