Congratulations to Dr. Amy Jo Overlin for her lecture on Wednesday May 8th, to the 2nd year medical students at The University of Arizona School of Medicine (on Common Sports Medicine Injuries of the Hip)! This is Dr. Overlin’s 4th year as a guest lecturer for the 2nd year medical student preclinical course.
Congratulations to Dr. Tom Carter, who was elected as a board member of The Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). The AANA exists to "promote, encourage, support and foster .. the development and dissemination of knowledge ... of arthroscopic surgery in order to improve upon the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculo-skeletal system.
Dr. Chhabra has been asked to direct and teach the sports medicine section of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery (AAOS) review course in Chicago April 10-14. The course is designed to prepare Orthopedic Surgeons from across the country for the ABOS board certification and re-certification exams.
Congratulations to Dr. David Bailie & Dr. Todd Ellenbecker for their published paper in the Physical Therapy Case Files: ORTHOPAEDICS book. This paper describes our approach to rehab of a middle-aged competitive tennis player after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.
