Dr. Vella is an expert in hand,
wrist, and upper extremity conditions and has distinguished
himself in the areas of fracture care, traumatic reconstruction,
arthritis, tendon transfers, work related injuries and microsurgery. He
also specializes in the treatment of conditions such as carpal
tunnel, tendonitis and ganglions.
Dr. Vella completed a fellowship in hand surgery at the renowned
Indiana Hand Center and brings his expertise and experience
with the newest innovations in hand surgery to Phoenix. He
received his Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College
and his medical degree from St. Louis University. Dr.
Vella completed his orthopedic residency at the University of
Cincinnati, University Hospital where he served as chief resident
in his final year. |

Dr. Vella has presented topics at national hand society meetings
and has published articles in the leading hand journal. He
has participated in clinical research topics including carpal
tunnel, ganglion cysts and wrist fractures. He is a member
of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and American Academy
of Orthopedic Surgery. He is dedicated to treating patients
with enthusiasm and compassion. Dr. Vella is from Syracuse,
New York.
