Paul E. Palmer, M.D.

Dr. Palmer is an expert in the field of general orthopedics and spine surgery.

He has been practicing since 1955, when he earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Evanston, Illinois. He also received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern.

He performed internships in orthopedic surgery at Methodist Hospital and Indiana University Medical Center, Riley Hospital, in Indianapolis, and in the U.S. Air Force at Elgin Air Force Base, Florida.

Dr. Palmer is board certified in orthopedic surgery. In 1962, he joined the founding physicians of The Orthopedic Clinic Association and became an integral part of developing TOCA into what it is today. He has been practicing there ever since.

 


He is currently a staff member for the Orthopedic Residency Program and the Scoliosis and Spine Deformity Clinic at Children’s Rehabilitative Services in Phoenix, Arizona. He has served on numerous medical, orthopedic, and sports medicine boards and committees, and as a team physician for many sports organizations. His scientific papers have been published in various orthopedic publications and, throughout his career, his presentations have been requested by many different professional organizations. He has written extensively on scoliosis and spine deformities.

Dr. Palmer is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Scoliosis Research Society, and the American Academy of Sports Medicine, to name a few.
