Dr. Huston is fellowship trained
and subspecializes in painful spine disorders. He is an expert
in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
He has
been practicing since 1985, when he earned his medical degree
from the Oregon Health Science University School of Medicine
in Portland. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science
and Technology, graduating with honors from Oregon State
University in Corvallis. He earned his Master’s degree in Rehabilitation
from the University of Washington in Seattle where he performed
his internship and residency.
He took his fellowship training
in spine medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Dr. Huston is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
In addition to his current position at The Orthopedic Clinic
Association, he also reviews for the Archives of Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation. |

He was an assistant professor at
the Uniform
Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland,
and assistant chief of physical medicine at the Walter Reed
Army Medical Center for the U.S. Army in Washington D.C.
Dr. Huston has also served on several award, planning, and
spine committees for the Physiatric Association of Spine,
Sports & Occupational Rehabilitation.
He has published numerous scientific abstracts, manuscripts,
articles and book chapters for various physical medicine, rehabilitation
and spine disorder publications. He is regularly asked to present
on those topics across North America. He holds memberships in
several professional organizations including the American Medical
Association, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and the
North American Spine Society. Dr. Huston is from Washington,
Oregon, California and Hawaii. |
