Norman F. Fee, M.D.

Dr. Fee is an expert in the field of general orthopedics and sports medicine. He has been practicing since 1956, when he earned his medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Carelton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He performed his internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and his residency at George Washington University and the United Mine Worker’s Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia. He also served in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps following the Korean War.

Dr. Fee is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He is among the founding physicians who helped develop The Orthopedic Clinic Association, and has practiced there since 1968. He is also an orthopedic consultant to the Arizona State University athletic department and an attending consultant for ASU’s Student Health Center.

 


He has served as president of the Arizona Orthopedic Society, medical staff president of Children’s Rehabilitative Services, and was a clinical instructor at George Washington University.

Dr. Fee has published a number of articles in orthopedic journals, including an experimental study of the effects of tear gas on peripheral nerves and skeletal muscles. He has presented on the atlanto-axial instability of rheumatoid arthritis before the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is a member of such professional organizations as the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Arizona Orthopedic Association, to name a few.
