Patient Education

Orthopedics is a discipline concerned with preventing or correcting disorders of the body’s basic framework, including the bones, joints, and muscles. An orthopedic surgeon is a physician with many years training in the physical, medical, or surgical treatment and/or rehabilitation of the body’s intricate mechanical system. Orthopedic physicians may also have additional training in sub-specialties such as sports medicine, joint replacement, knee, ankle, or shoulder reconstruction, foot problems and scoliosis or other disorders of the spine.
