Dr. Bailie was asked to be 1 or 4 surgeons on an International design team for a stemless, minimally invasive shoulder replacement by Biomet. The other physicians involved in this project are from Mayo Clinic Rochester, Boston and Toronto.
All 19 of our TOCA physicians were featured on the cover and in an article by M.D. News, on TOCA's 60 years of Excellence.

2011 Phoenix Arthritis walk
Phoenix walks on the Wild Side!!!
TOCA was a proud Premier Event Sponsor of the Arthritis Foundation's annual Zoo Walk. In addition to our sponsorship, the TOCA staff and Physicians raised more than $4,000, which TOCA matched for a total of $8,000!
An incredible 6,000 walkers showed their support for people with arthritis, and raised a total of $200,000!
Phoenix Children's Hospital:
Beach Ball

For the first year, TOCA is please to help sponsor the Phoenix Children's Hospitals Annual Beach Ball. The proceeds will benefit a major expansion of Phoenix Children's Hospital, bringing their special brand of family-centered care to even more patients and families. It will be held at the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale.

Pat's Run is an annual walk/run 5K that benefits The Pat Tillman Foundation. The Pat Tillman Foundation's mission is to; "invest in veterans and military families through education and community." For this memorable event, TOCA was a proud sponsor of CrossFit for Pat's Run 2011. This sponsorship allowed Scottsdale CrossFit runners to focus on fund-raising and running!

Holiday Heroes
TOCA was proud to help sponsor Holiday Heroes - an annual radiothon and charity drive put on by Sports 620 KTAR, in order to provide financial assistance to families of public safety officers and firefighters who are seriously injured or killed in the line-of-duty, and to provide resources to enhance their safety and welfare. This annual event includes Golfing as well as a simultaneous radiothon.

During this year’s biennial international shoulder meeting, Dr. Bailie had two (2) of his papers presented. There were over 300 paper submissions from the international community and only 23 were accepted.

Top Story: Local Surgeon recounts experience in Haiti

Dr. Grant Padley is used to a busy schedule with his orthopedic practice, performing surgeries, doing physicals for the Cincinnati Reds and his family life.
He recently took time away from all of that to take on some additional work he felt called to do - a humanitarian medical mission to Haiti.
After the Caribbean country was devastated by an Earthquake Jan. 12, 2010, volunteer efforts began to mobilize to provide aid. More than 100,000 people died in the 7.0 quake and the capital of Port-au-Prince was mostly leveled.
"When this came up, it really was a pull on my heart to go help out," Padley said. "They needed an orthopedic surgeon, so I went."
