Bio: Dr. Johnsen
Dr. Johnsen joined the Orthopedic Clinic Association in 2006 after practicing in Boulder County, Colorado for 7 years. He actively treats many professional, Olympic and collegiate running athletes. His clinical interests include lower extremity injuries, trauma, arthritis, cartilage injuries, ligament injuries and tendon problems.
Dr. Johnsen is a native of the Phoenix area. He graduated from Chaparral High School. He has completed medical school, Orthopedic Surgery residency and fellowships in both Foot and Ankle Surgery and Sports Medicine. He remains actively involved in clinical and basic science research and is a published author in orthopedics. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Johnsen’s main interests are in common and complex foot and ankle problems. He has a strong involvement in sports medicine, knee injuries and ankle cartilage replacement techniques.
